Zelda

Hi Catherine,

I've wanted to contact you for quite some time and found this address on the web. Nancy and I adopted Zelda from you many years ago. Zelda is still with us and I wanted to let you know how she is doing. She has aged quite a bit. Her once black nose and muzzle is now white and her eyes are cloudy. She is hard of hearing and takes long naps all day long. She loves her walks and swimming in the lake (in the summer). Sadly we had to put Bailey, our other dog, down in December. He was nearly 13 - a rottie /shep with 3 legs. He was diagnosed with cancer 5 years ago and had his front leg amputated. He survived the cancer which in itself is amazing but he had trouble walking lately as he developed arthritis. I thought Zelda would be sad but she loves being a single dog. She is the best dog. I can't begin to tell you how wonderful she is. She has a real connection with me. Two years ago, I developed breast cancer and when I was undergoing chemotherapy treatment, Zelda began peeing on the dining room floor. She did this every day. When my chemo and radiation stopped, Zelda stopped too. I love her so much!

I hope you are well, I remember that you were in a horrific auto accident a few years ago. I can't imagine how painful your recovery must have been. You are such an amazing woman. Thank you again for Zelda.

Best,

Sandra
