Update 5/4/2009

It's with great sadness that I say Rusty passed away yesterday.

Most of you know Rusty was rescued from a very scary and bad situation and came to the shelter in bad shape. When I took him home he needed a lot of help, and he was grateful for the attention and love he received from me and my dogs. Belle (in photo attached with Rusty) was his favorite friend. The two of them were inseperable, and both learned a lot from one another. He loved my other dogs as well, and welcomed the stream of visitors who stayed with us while waiting for their forever homes.

Rusty became a solid, smiling pup who seemed to enjoy every single thing life had to offer. He had to meet every person, every dog, and, if given the chance, every cat!

I'm so sad, but so happy and lucky I had Rusty in my life. He will be missed greatly.
