Here is a recent photo of Donald. We adopted him in December 2005. We renamed him "Donner". Donner is a great dog; very sweet, kind, and pretty much the most laid back dog we've ever owned.

I just wanted to let you know that Donner (AKA Donald) is doing great. He is such a great dog. We just finished our second round of dog obedience classes, and I am amazed by his intelligence and ability to learn quickly. Donner absolutely loves tennis balls, but he was able to sit across the room from me, on a stay command, while the instructor bounced a tennis ball right in front of, and alongside of him. Once the command was given to stay, it was his job to watch me. This was very difficult for him to do the first few weeks of class, but by the last couple of weeks he waited for my command to move (or not to move in this instance). The instructor was even impressed by this, as she knew that this was a difficult test for him. He is so willing to please, it's unbelievable. I have recent pictures, but I think I may have to scan them in order to get them to you.
 
Also, I just posted your website on Illinois Horse Online. I own a horse and frequent this website as it is a very local site.  I hope it generates some response for you, as I admire your efforts to save and find homes for these pets.
