Luna is the sweetest dog ever!!!!
She is super friendly with everyone that she meets!! When I heard her story about how she was brought into the pound by a teenager and her mother (bearing a glaring face) and then fostered/adopted out to a person who did'nt have the patience to work with Luna, I just had to rescue little, baby Luna!! Whoever fostered/adopted her prior to me, complained of Luna growling and barking at her! I have yet to hear Luna growl or bark at me! Luna could not stop licking Michael and my face from the moment we met her! I guess all it takes to foster/adopt is a little patience and a lot of love, and there's a huge reward...too bad for that other "impatient person" because she missed out on a incredibly sweet dog.

Luna just absolutely LOVES her squeaky toys and she has learned "sit", "down", "paw", and "stay", so far (all in a matter of 3 weeks!!). Not only does she make the most adorable faces, which makes my heart melt every time I see them, but she is such a smart girl! She knows exactly what adorable puppy face to make, when she wants a treat! She's way too cute for her own good! Whenever I'am out walking her, people actually stop me on the street and tell me what a beautiful dog I have. I would most definitely have to agree!! The little white tip at the end of her tail makes us feel the need to use Q-tips all the time. Hahaha! (Sometimes we call her Luna "Q-Tip Tail", or Luna Boona, or Luna Belle, or sometimes even Looney Tunes it depends on whether she's chasing rabbits and birds that day).

By the way, she is definitely a "daddy's girl," she follows Michael around EVERYWHERE!He goes in one room, she has to follow, he's lying down, she has to lie down right next to him, he wants to play with her, and she's ready to play with him. It just the cutest!! She is totally like a little person when she perches her two front paws on our window ledge and looks at all the people and dogs walking by. Hahaha! She hardly ever barks and is very protective of her mommy (me)!

To Catherine, Michael and I want to send our deepest thank you to you. If it weren't for you, I don't think we would have found our sweet, cute, baby girl Luna!! I have been telling people about your wonderful no-kill shelter, and how I would never get a dog anywhere else! I will definitely keep you all updated with Luna (including more pictures), and I wish all of the rest of your rescue dogs a wonderful, happy ending (living in great, loving homes)!! I know that Luna is definitely in one!!

Hey Rendy,

Michael and I just wanted to thank you so much for taking the time to meet up with us yesterday, in regards to training Luna.  We are so happy that Luna has picked us as her new family!  Mike and I have altered her eating schedule (as you have suggested) and we are continuing working with her on the new hand signals that you have taught all three of us.  She is just so darn smart!  We couldn't believe how obedient she was with you and us yesterday.  I think she picks up really quickly!  Again, thank you so much and we look forward to working with you again See you then!!

Sincerely,

Mike and Pilar  :-)
