When Alan joined us last June, he had absolutely no problem settling in. I think he was just happy to have a home again after being adopted and returned two times! He never hid, just checked out the place, determined it was pretty nice, and settled into the couch and on the bed -- and any lap that's available. He is a good natured little boy whose favorite activity is sitting on Roger's lap and watching college basketball and Michigan football.
When I lost my Bootsie in 2003 after 18 years, I couldn't even think of getting another cat. Then I met Patches who came to Furry Friends after her owner died. We had something in common. And of course, since one cat is never enough (according to the "forces" at FFF), and after intensive lobbying efforts (Catherine had everyone working me), Alan soon joined us. I simply cannot fathom a home without animals and I am so grateful for FFF for saving Patches and Alan so they could join my family.
