Adoption Information
All cats are up-to-date on vaccines, tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, microchipped, and spayed/neutered before adoption. Guardianship Application, home visit and reference checks are required. Minimum adoption fee is $100.

It is hard to think of a reason why anyone wouldn't want Sophie. She's such a sweet girl and a total character, yet her previous owners - college kids - didn't want to care for her anymore.

But you know what they say - one man's trash is another man's treasure. Sophie will make a super companion for just about any home! She is extremely sweet, friendly and gives kisses.

She is 1.5 years old, but still acts very kitten-ish. She likes to pounce on your toes as you're going to bed, and bat small objects across the floor. So she needs someone who enjoys this type of behavior!

One other important thing to know about Sophie is that she talks...a LOT. Maybe her gossipy, college-age owners rubbed off on her? :) We're not sure why she has so much to say...it's just a trait we've learned to love!

One of the other great things about Sophie is that she loves other cats. In fact, she tries to cuddle and play with one of the cats in the foster home - but he's a crabby kind of guy and doesn't enjoy the antics of a young lady. She enjoys the company of other cats so much, we're requiring that she go to a home that already has one or more cats. She's even good with dogs! She has lived with various dogs ranging in size from 45 lbs to 10 lbs, and got along with all.  She's also 4-paw declawed.
